Originally scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd, Lil Wayne was set to perform at the Tabernacle but cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Reportedly, the rap star, real name Dwyane Michael Carter, 40, posted the news to his instagram account, apologizing and adding:
“[can’t] wait to turn up with y’all soon.”
No updated schedule for the show has been reported at this time, and its expected the musician will appear for his next performance in Alabama April 24th. Lil Wayne reportedly neglected to give details about why the performance was delayed. Nor has it been disclosed if fans have been or will be refunded for the tickets. It’s reported that this will be the rapper’s first solo headlining tour since 2011. Which possibly explains fans frustration with the cancelled show.
