According to Jennifer Hudson, Verzuz “saved her life.” As you may recall, the virtual music battle debuted during the COVID-19 pandemic where artists face off one another with their top hits on an Instagram livestream.
Hudson shared:
“That was like the concert that we got to go to. Oh my God, we couldn’t wait to get to it. Thank y’all for creating that. It’s so amazing.”
Seemingly flattered, the 44-year-old music producer alleged their not done working on the webcast series. Hudson asked:
“So, when is the next season happening?”
Teasing fans, Swizz Beats — real name Kasseem Daoud Dean — disclaimed:
“Soon as you and Fantasia sign the contract.”

Hudson wondered as the audience cheered:
“That’s what y’all want?”
