J. Cole Leaves Ari Lennox Speechless As He Surprises Her At London Concert

Rapper J. Cole is going to go the extra mile for his friends!

On Tuesday (May 16), J. Cole, 38, gave London concertgoers a huge surprise by showing up to support his Dreamville Records artist Ari Lennox, 32. You may already be aware that the “Coming Down” singer is currently headlining the European leg of her “age/sex/location Tour.”

Apparently, fans of Ari Lennox weren’t the only ones shocked to see J. Cole hit the stage during the sold-out event. Reports claim that Ari Lennox was also unaware that the North Carolina native traveled to England to show her love.

Video footage of the surprise shows Ari on stage in a see-through sparkling outfit as she sings her song “Shea Butter Baby,” which features J. Cole. Moments before the rap verse of the popular track, J. Cole runs onto the stage, causing the crowd to go crazy. The camera then shows a stunned Ari, who is all smiles as J. Cole begins to rap his verse.

Following the heartwarming moment between the two artists, Ari took to Instagram to thank J. Cole for his performance and support. She wrote,

“I can’t believe @realcoleworld and @dreamville surprised me at my London show like this I love y’all so much”

J. Cole’s manager/ co-founder of Dreamville Records Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad shared how the surprise came about. He tweeted,

“Cole a different type a nigga. He won’t leave his crib for much but randomly hit me and be like I’m a come to london and surprise @AriLennox just don’t tell her”

Dreamville fans have also taken to the Bird app to talk about the surprise performance from the “Wet Dreamz” rapper. One user said,

“I won’t get over that Ari Lennox concert for a minute. Show was phenomenal. Cole popping up for Shea Butter Baby was the icing on the cake.” 

Others added,

It’s nice to see Ari Lennox in good spirits. As previously reported, in December she claimed that her “age/sex/location Tour” would be her last. She tweeted,

“‘Age Sex Location’ will be my last tour [red heart emoji] I love my genuine fans so much and can’t wait to give you my all every night!!”

She continued,

“Europe I love you but unfortunately there will not be a tour due to reasons out of my control. Happy holidays [prayer hands emoji] See you soon Vegas!”

However, Ari did make her way to Europe so hopefully, she’ll change her mind about never touring again as well.
