Snoop Dogg – Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Accusing Rapper Of Sexual Assault
Snoop Dogg is finally able to put one of his latest legal battles behind him!
As previously reported, in February 2022, an unidentified woman accused Snoop Dogg of forcing her to perform fellatio on him back in 2013.
Allegedly, the incident occurred after she attended one of Snoop Dogg’s concerts in Anaheim, California. The individual, who has taken on the moniker of Jane Doe, claimed that the rapper’s longtime friend, Bishop Don Juan, offered her a ride home but instead took her to his house. She supposedly fell asleep in the car and at Juan’s residence as well.
The next morning, as Doe awoke, Juan was said to have shoved his genitals in her mouth. He then allegedly drove her to meet Snoop at the studio. Upon arrival, Doe (who also deemed herself a model/dancer) recalled making her way to the restroom, where Snoop allegedly walked in and authoritatively coerced her into giving him oral pleasure as well.
In the suit, the unnamed accuser noted that Juan “discriminated” and “harassed” her because of her “sex and gender.” She also claimed Snoop denied her a position on a TV show because she “refused to willingly and enthusiastically” fulfill his sexual needs.
She initially sued for nearly $10 million. Snoop responded to the debacle by chalking it up to a bunch of lies and a “shakedown” for a nice chunk of money.
Last year, the 51-year-old’s attorney told RadarOnline,
“Nothing remotely resembling [Doe’s] nine-year-old story about [Snoop] ever happened. He vehemently denies ever engaging in any sex act with [Doe] or assaulting or battering her.”
However, according to the outlet, it seems that it’s the end of the road for all parties involved because a federal court (recently) dismissed the case!
Reportedly, a California judge tossed out “the majority” of the sexual assault claims filed by the alleged victim against Snoop due to her failure to refile an amended complaint by the deadline. The woman could refile a portion of the claims in state court, however, it’s unclear if she will choose to do so.
When speaking of the situation, not too long ago, another one of Snoop’s representatives explained,
“The facts are simple. Plaintiff Jane Doe attempted to shakedown [Snoop Dogg] with a frivolous lawsuit Ms. Doe filed four days before Snoop performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February. When Ms. Doe’s shakedown attempt failed, she voluntarily dismissed her allegations against Snoop, and the federal court dismissed her lawsuit in its entirety.”
They added in conclusion,
“Ms. Doe and her lawyer then refiled this past July the same meritless claims she, her lawyer, and the court previously dismissed, while simultaneously running to certain media to publicize the refiled litigation. As before, Ms. Doe’s complaint is riddled with falsehoods and fails to allege anything meeting the definition of her flawed claims.”
So far, there has been no further word from Snoop regarding the dismissal.
