Don Lemon Possibly Returning To CNN After Former CEO Chris Licht Was Recently Fired
Fans who’ve missed seeing TV journalist Don Lemon on air for CNN could be in for a treat soon.
It’s suspected that the network, who shockingly cut ties with the news anchor earlier this year, could possibly reach out to him in an attempt to mend their business relationship.

Rumors of Don Lemon’s return began after the firing of CNN’s (now-ex) CEO Chris Licht. Reportedly, the two had a long-standing beef due to the company head regularly finding problems with Lemon’s on-air language and behavior. When the 57-year-old anchor faced criticism after commenting about women being past their prime, Licht seemingly used the moment to drop the hammer.
With the former CEO’s recent firing, however, sources close to Lemon reportedly claim they “wouldn’t be surprised” if CNN reached out soon. Reportedly, one source stated:
“The potential reversal of fortune wouldn’t be shocking due to the well-documented and long-standing tensions between Chris and Don.”

Chances of Lemon’s return seem to be even greater, as Amy Entelis – CNN’s Executive VP for Talent and Content Development, has been one of the temporary leaders put in charge to replace Licht. It’s noted that Entelis and Lemon have a long-standing relationship spanning over 15 years.
Sources reportedly add that while Lemon is taking some much-deserved time away, he is taking meetings and is open to all options.
