Update: Britney Spears’ Estranged Husband Sam Asghari Was Allegedly Physically Abused By Singer

Update #2: (Aug. 17, 2023): Did domestic violence play into Sam Asghari and Britney Spears’ breakup?

According to reports, the actor told people that during his relationship with Britney, she would often put her hands on him. An insider recently spoke on the allegations with TMZ and said that the abuse started long before they were even married.

“Sam frequently complained about Britney getting physical with him during their 7 years together.”

They added that the former love birds had “numerous fights” where security had to intervene. However, the source also shared that one time no one was there to help Sam and he was attacked by the “Toxic” singer while sleeping. The alleged assault occurred earlier this year, around the same time Britney’s estranged husband was spotted by paparazzi sporting a black eye and bite marks on his forearm.

Insiders also claim Sam was worried about Britney’s alleged knife obsession. They said she “was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection.”

Update #1: (Aug. 17, 2023): It seems like Sam Asghari is rushing to end his marriage to pop star Britney Spears.

Yesterday (Aug. 16) reports broke that the couple hit a rough patch after Sam accused Britney of cheating on him. As of now, it’s unclear if the cheating allegation is true, but the rumor was enough to make Sam move into his own place and apparently file for divorce as well! Last night — after news surfaced that they were having marital problems — the 29-year-old went ahead and filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup.

Britney and Sam started dating in 2016 and married in June 2022. They share no children together. It’s been reported that Sam signed a tight prenup and won’t be entitled to Britney’s money amid their divorce. However, in his divorce petition, he’s allegedly asking for spousal support and attorneys fees. In addition, it’s rumored that he plans on contesting the prenup. The legal doc reportedly states,

“[Sam] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party.”

Adding,

“There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time.”

However, some speculate that Britney will just cut her ex a big check to make the divorce process quick and easy.

According to reports, Britney Spears, 41, and her husband Sam Asghari, 29, are heading for divorce. Allegedly, things between the couple went south sometime last week due to an intense argument they had. Sources close to the pair claim that Sam Asghari confronted the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer over speculation that she cheated on him. It’s unclear if there’s any truth to the rumor but Sam Asghari reportedly believes his wife has a guy on the side, which caused them to have a big verbal fight. Following the dispute, the “Hot Seat” actor allegedly moved out of their home into his own place. A source spoke on their drama with TMZ and said,

“It’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.”

Britney Spears and Sam started dating in 2016 and tied the knot during an intimate ceremony at their residence in Los Angeles on June 9, 2022. Last October, after suffering a miscarriage, reports claimed that Britney and Sam still wanted to have a child together and were looking at surrogacy as an option. Since then, they haven’t publicly spoken about growing their family. However, Britney did post an image of herself smiling big next to Sam in June, seemingly indicating everything was well between them not too long ago.

If Sam should go through with divorcing his pop star wife, it’s expected that he won’t receive much in their legal separation. Reports claim that he signed a tight prenup and “any money [Britney] made before the wedding is protected.”

As of now, neither Britney nor Sam have addressed the breakup reports.
