Beyoncé Praises Megan Thee Stallion During Surprise Performance At Houston ‘Renaissance’ Tour Stop: ‘She Makes Me Proud!’

Fans who attended Beyoncé’s concert in Houston were treated to a much welcomed surprise.

The music icon made sure her hometown show was extra special over the weekend, bringing out the citie’s own Megan Thee Stallion for a guest performance.

Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, 28, joined Beyoncé at her sold out “Renaissance” tour stop in Texas this past Saturday (September 23rd). The pair performed their #1 hit “Savage Remix”, which earned the rapper one of her first Grammy wins back in 2021. Though the song has been a regular part of Beyoncé’s set since the concert series kicked off back in May, this weekend’s show marked the first appearance by the rap star on the tour.

During the surprise moment, the most winning Grammy award artist of all time was not shy about giving her fellow Houston native her flowers. As Megan spit her verse, Beyoncé hyped her in the background, asking attendees if the musician makes them proud, adding:

‘She makes me proud. I love you girl!”

To which Megan excitingly returns the gesture, yelling:

“I love you Beyoncé!!”

The adorable moment was well received by fans. Many screamed as the musicians expressed their love for one another and got even louder when Megan doubled down on her admiration for the “Lemonade” artist as she exited the stage. Online, social media users reacted to the unexpected performance as well. Many congratulated Megan, as one user shared an old video where the rapper cried while speaking about her late mother’s love for Beyoncé. Reflecting on accepting her Grammy award with the singer a few years back, Megan stated in the resurfaced clip:

“That was probably one of the moments where I was like ‘I do feel good about this’ because I knew for a fact my momma was gone be happy about that…My momma was such a Beyoncé fan…she used to be like…’we gone meet Beyoncé and don’t you go in there acting a fool”
