LeBron James Shares Son Bronny Is ‘Doing Extremely Well’ After Suffering Cardiac Arrest Over The Summer: ‘He’s On The Up And Up’
Bronny James is doing much better following his health scare.
As previously reported, the 18-year-old college athlete made headlines over the summer after suffering cardiac arrest during USC’s basketball practice. On Monday (Oct. 2) LeBron James, 38, gave an update on his son’s condition while speaking at the Los Angeles Lakers media day. According to LeBron James, Bronny had a “successful surgery” and is working on his official comeback. He said,
“Bronny is doing extremely well. He has begun his rehab process to get back on the floor this season with his teammates at USC. The successful surgery that he had … he’s on the up and up.”

The professional athlete added,
“It’s definitely a whirlwind and a lot of emotions for our family this summer, but the best thing we have is each other.”
This isn’t the first time LeBron has addressed Bronny James’ scary moment. On July 27 – a couple of days after the incident – the father-of-three took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and showed his appreciation toward everyone who reached out regarding his oldest son. He wrote,
“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us! #JamesGang”
