Update: Von Miller To ‘Participate Like Normal’ w/ Buffalo Bills Despite Allegedly Assaulting Pregnant Girlfriend
Update: (Dec. 6, 2023): Looks like an abuse allegation isn’t stopping NFLer Von Miller from continuing with his regularly scheduled program.
According to new reports, the Buffalo Bills has no plans of keeping Von Miller away from the team, despite his recent arrest on domestic violence allegations.
As previously reported, last week an arrest warrant was issued for Von Miller after a pregnant woman — who is believed to be the professional athlete’s girlfriend — called the Dallas Police Department (DPD), claiming she was assaulted by Miller.
The linebacker reportedly fled the scene before DPD arrived but later turned himself in and was released on a $5000 bond.
Earlier today (Dec. 6) Brandon Beane — general manager for the Bills — spoke about Miller’s eligibility status and said,
“Von is here. He’ll be a part of the team, and we’ll let the investigation [play out] and we’ll follow the lead of the NFL.”
Elsewhere during the press conference, he said,
“It’s an open investigation, and so we’ll just, we’ll let the legal process play out, and he’ll participate like normal in practice.”
Beane also noted that the claims “seem out of character” for Miller and he doesn’t think the player will be added to the commissioner’s exempt list.

According to police documents, Von Miller and the unidentified individual got into a verbal argument on Wednesday (Nov. 29), which resulted in the NFL star (allegedly) putting his hands on her.
After the occurrence, a “major disturbance” call was said to have been made to the authorities, but 34-year-old Miller fled the scene before their arrival.
A warrant has since been filed for his arrest, prompting the Buffalo Bills committee to speak out and address the matter.
In a brief statement to the press, the team said,
“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”

The incident took place around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The victim in question received medical care for minor injuries but didn’t require a hospital visit.
The NFL has been notified of the situation, but at this time, officials of the organization don’t have any thoughts to share, according to reports.
So far, no word from Miller either.
Details are still developing.
