Reggae music icon, Bob Marley passed away years ago, but it’s clear that his music continues to live on in the hearts of many.
After more than 40 years since Bob Marley’s untimely death on May 11, 1981, at the young age of 36, the superstar is making his debut this week on a Billboard chart he has never previously entered.

Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers hits the most recent iteration of the Top Streaming Albums chart, debuting in the 44th spot. Both Bob Marley and his band, The Wailers are credited for this project.

Bob Marley is revered not just for his enduring music but also for his significant influence globally. The Reggae sensation emerged from modest beginnings to ascend as one of the most impactful figures in Reggae music history, embodying an international symbol of peace and harmony.
Marley and his music have once again captured public attention with the release of a biographical film, Bob Marley: One Love.

The biopic portrays the life of the late Reggae singer and songwriter, depicted by Kingsley Ben-Adir, spanning from his ascent to stardom in the mid-1970s to his passing. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the screenplay was co-written by Terence Winter, Frank E. Flowers, and Zach Baylin. The cast includes Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley and James Norton as Chris Blackwell.
Bob Marley: One Love has emerged as a box office success, reportedly garnering over $120 million worldwide since its theatrical debut on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14).
According to reports, during its opening weekend, the Paramount Pictures’ film surpassed expectations by debuting at the top spot at the box office, earning $27.7 million.
Once again, for the second consecutive week, One Love continues to exceed expectations, securing the top position at the box office. The biopic grossed $13.5 million during its second week in theaters.
