DDG Steps In To Defend Girlfriend Halle Bailey After Man Posts Pic Comparing Actress To E.T.: ‘I’m Smokin On Yo Dead A** Mama’

Rapper DDG is not here for the disrespect when it comes to his girlfriend, singer and actress Halle Bailey.

In the wee hours of Monday morning (March 4), rapper DDG took to X to respond to a man who compared the mother of his child to the fictional movie character E.T.

The man captioned the photo,

“The new Little Mermaid actress”

It didn’t take long for other users on X to notice and respond to the post, blasting the man for what was widely viewed as a dig at Halle Bailey’s looks.

One X user wrote,

“The straight up racism on this app now is crazy”

Someone else stated,

“Ya’ll just be on here bullying for no reason i wish more of you lead with God & peace… smh”

Some commenters even took the time to browse the man’s page and noticed a post featuring him and his mother, who is now deceased. As a result, the responses to his unsavory remark soon began to center around his late mother.

One person wrote,

“your mom literally looks like this”

Another said,

“Look like your mother with a tan. She is really ugly bro”

After noticing the comments about his mother, the man responded, saying,

“My mother’s face was permanently disfigured from a rare form of cancer She had 60% of her soft tissue removed & huge portions of her jaw carved out in 3 life saving surgeries You’re making fun of a dead mother of 4 who had life saving facial reconstruction Hope you feel cool”

However, many didn’t care about his follow-up post, including Halle Bailey’s boyfriend, DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., 26. The popular YouTube mentioned the internet troll directly and said,

“I’m smokin on yo dead a** mama [laughing emojis] that dumb b*tch should’ve got a better doctor LMFAO“

In a follow-up tweet, DDG posted a pic of himself smoking with the man’s mother’s face superimposed on the tip of what seemed to be a joint.

DDG and Halle Bailey went public about their relationship sometime in 2022. The young couple revealed in January that they had welcomed a son in late 2023. They named their baby boy Halo, and have since shared with fans some of Bailey’s pregnancy pictures and interesting details about their journey to parenthood.
