Update: Terrell Owens’ Alleged Attacker Charged With 2 Felonies, Accused Of Hitting Former NFL Star w/ A Vehicle After Heated Exchange At Basketball Game

Update (March 4, 2024): The man accused of hitting Terrell Owens with his vehicle after an argument at a basketball game has been charged with two felonies.

Wonzur Ratcliff is looking at two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, per court documents obtained by TMZ on Monday, March 4.

Ratcliff allegedly drove his car into the retired NFL star’s knee after the two had a heated exchange during a basketball game in Calabasas, California, last October. Terrell Owens, 50, did not need medical attention. Ratcliff’s first court date hasn’t been scheduled yet.

Terrell Owens hasn’t discussed the incident publicly, but he did make a subliminal statement just days after it happened.

He shared footage on Instagram of what appeared to be the infamous basketball game with DJ Khaled and Vory‘s ‘Grateful’ playing over the clip.

He added the caption,

Original Story (Oct. 17, 2023): A simple basketball game recently turned violent for Terrell Owens.

According to reports, Terrell Owens, 49, was playing a game of pickup basketball Monday night (Oct. 16) in the Calabasas area. At some point during the casual game, things turned ugly and a verbal dispute erupted between the retired NFL player and another man on the court. Allegedly, the unnamed man still felt some type of way after the match because he got into his vehicle and drove it straight at Terrell Owens, reportedly striking him in the knee.

Law enforcement revealed to TMZ that Owens did not require medical attention following the crazy ordeal. However, they did take a report for assault with a deadly weapon. An investigation is currently taking place but at this time, no arrests have been made.

Unfortunately for Owens, this isn’t the first time he’s been caught up in a nasty altercation involving a car. As previously reported, in August of last year, a woman accused him of almost hitting her with his vehicle as he was speeding through their neighborhood. However, according to Owens, the woman was a “Karen” and her claims were not true.
