Jonathan Majors Says He & Meagan Good Are ‘In Love’ In Their First Red Carpet Appearance Since His Assault & Harassment Conviction
Update (March 5): Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are making it clear they’re still going strong.
The couple stepped out to the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon on Sunday (March 3), marking their first public appearance since he was convicted of harassment and assault in December.
While on the red carpet, an ExtraTV reporter asked the smiling couple how they were doing, to which Jonathan Majors quickly responded,
“In love.”
The two laughed as he added,
“That was my answer, yeah yeah we’re doing great.”
Meagan Good co-signed and told the reporter,
“We’re doing great. God is good.”
Meagan Good also noted the importance of celebrating Black creators, adding that they were there to support filmmaker and Horizon Award recipient Deon Taylor.
Majors added they were looking forward to,
“Just the fellowship. Letting everybody know that we are here. We make beautiful art…the film landscape is grown by the contributions of many of the people in this room.”
Original Story (March 4): It looks like all is well between Jonathan Majors and his girlfriend, Meagan Good, after he was convicted of assault.
The pair made their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet, smiling while posing for pictures at the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon. It was held at the Los Angeles Club on Sunday (March 3).
Jonathan Majors sported a blue button-down under a navy sweater, a full-length grey coat, and black pants. To top it all off, the “Harder They Fall” star wore a black beret.
Meanwhile, Meagan Good wore a pale yellow off-the-shoulder cut-out dress that showed off her toned physique as her burgundy locks cascaded over her shoulders. The actress and model wore a chunky gold bangle bracelet and gold hoop earrings for her accessories. Click to see the photos here.
Their first public appearance together comes after a jury found Jonathan Majors guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment. According to multiple reports, the case stemmed from a domestic dispute in March 2023 between the “Love Craft Country” actor and his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in which they got into an altercation in the backseat of a car in New York City.
Grace Jabbari claimed Majors hit her in the head with his open hand, twisted her arm behind her back, and squeezed her middle finger until it fractured. The “Creed III” star has denied hitting Grace Jabbari, and his lawyers contend he was the victim and suffered scratches. Majors is due for sentencing on April 8.
The guilty verdict was a blow to the star’s skyrocketing career. As a result, Marvel Studios parted ways with the actor after he was supposed to anchor the next phase of the lucrative Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise as the supervillain Kang the Conqueror. He has played the character in two Marvel projects. Majors was also scheduled to appear in 2026’s “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.”
Majors notably co-starred in two of 2023’s year’s biggest blockbusters: “Creed III” and Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”
