Zendaya Says ‘It’s Beyond Me’ As She Speaks On Possibility Of ‘Euphoria’ Returning For Season 3

Zendaya Says ‘It’s Beyond Me’ As She Speaks On Possibility Of ‘Euphoria’ Returning For Season 3
“Euphoria” season three is (still) up in the air.
As we’ve been covering, fans of the HBO drama series have been waiting for years for another season. The Sam Levinson series first premiered in 2019 and quickly captured the attention of many. Season two came a little later in 2022, however, the brief hiatus didn’t seem to put a dent in the fandom surrounding the project. Unfortunately, there’s been unclarity from the network on when season 3 should be expected and it doesn’t even look like the show’s leading lady Zendaya, 27, knows when she’ll be back on the screen as Ruby “Rue” Bennett.
The Golden Globe Award-winning actress chatted with Variety last night (Apr. 16) during the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie “Challengers,” and revealed that she has no clue when “Euphoria” will return.
When asked directly if we will see the highly-anticipated third season, Zendaya, who also serves as one of the show’s Executive producers, said,
“I don’t know, I’m not in charge.”
Speaking on whether she wants to step into the “Euphoria” world again, she added,
“If it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course. But it’s beyond me.”

In November 2023, reports surfaced that “Euphoria” was slated to return sometime in 2025. However, in March of this year, it was announced that the series was on an indefinite pause, and the show’s actors could use the time to explore other opportunities. Whenever the show comes back, it’s safe to say things may look a little different from the last time we had new “Euphoria” episodes. For starters, it’s alleged that the forthcoming storyline will occur five years after the end of season two. This means the beloved characters would no longer be in high school.
In addition, actor Angus Cloud (who played Fezco “Fez” O’Neill) will be missing as he passed away last year.
