“Wow. Thank you so much for all of your concern. I just want to say that I am doing brilliantly. I am 7 years and 9 months clean. Yayy!”
@official.staceydash I’m going to start sharing more about my recovery journey and what I do to stay healthy (mind, body and spirit) I hope that my story can help someone who might be struggling right now. God bless.
Continuing, the Clueless star stated that she intends to open up more about her journey overcoming addiction, and share how her “mind, body, and spirit” was transformed throughout the process. She added:
“I hope by doing this, I help somebody else. Cause I know the struggle’s real.”
Stacey Dash first opened up about her history with drug use during an interview back in 2016. The celebrity revealed that both of her parents were drug users, and that her mother gave her a line of cocaine for the first time at 16 years old. Dash admitted that it took her years to break free of the addiction, and didn’t fully commit to being sober until she got pregnant with her son Austin Williams who she gave birth to in 1991.

In 2021, Dash got candid about relapsing after a doctor prescribed her Vicodin, admitting that she would sometimes take up to 20 pills a day. Her honesty about her drug struggles seems to be the reason why some social media users felt comfortable enough to suggest that she may have relapsed again after she uploaded a post-workout video to her Tik Tok page.
