Keke Palmer & Ex-Boyfriend Darius Jackson Reportedly Call Truce On Domestic Violence Restraining Order Case

A court-ordered mediation session can do a lot of good.

According to reports, actress Keke Palmer was able to work out the domestic violence restraining order case against the father of her child, Darius Jackson, behind the scenes. As previously reported, Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson’s next court date was scheduled for July 16. However, documents reportedly filed by the Nope star’s attorney note the hearing will not hold and it has since been removed from the court’s calendar. Keke Palmer’s attorney allegedly didn’t say in the filing why there’s no need for the hearing anymore, but there’s a strong chance it could have something to do with the mediation session the ex-couple agreed to attend.

In November 2023, Palmer claimed Darius Jackson was very abusive toward her throughout their relationship. Due to the evidence she submitted to the court — which included footage of alleged abuse from Jackson — she was quickly granted a temporary restraining order and temporary sole custody of their child. In January, reports claimed the protection order was extended by six months as the pair’s follow-up court hearing was delayed to give them time to engage “in mediation before a private judge.”

Palmer has yet to publically speak on the unfortunate situation with her ex-boyfriend. However, she hasn’t let the ordeal stop her from winning. In addition to reportedly being eyed for a major Marvel role, Palmer has remained booked and busy, most recently landing a role in an Issa Rae-produced comedy alongside SZA!
