Flavor Flav Gifts Gymnast Jordan Chiles Bronze Clock Necklace After Bronze Medal Was Stripped From Her During Paris Olympics
In a show of support and solidarity, Flavor Flav has gifted a custom bronze clock necklace to U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles after she was stripped of her Olympic bronze medal.

The rapper’s gesture comes amid a controversy surrounding Jordan Chiles’ scoring and the subsequent ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Initially awarded a bronze medal for her floor routine, Jordan Chiles saw her score adjusted from 13.666 to 13.766 after Team USA filed an inquiry, claiming a skill was not credited. However, Romanian officials contested that the inquiry was submitted late, beyond the one-minute deadline. The CAS agreed with the Romanian appeal, restoring Chiles’ original score and ruling that the medal should be reallocated to Romania’s Ana Barbosu. Despite Team USA’s efforts to appeal and provide new evidence showing the inquiry was within the deadline, CAS rules do not allow reconsideration of arbitral awards once made, thus upholding the decision.

Soon after the incident, Flavor Flav, renowned for his extravagant clock necklaces, took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce his intention to create a special piece for Chiles:
“Ayyy YOOOO @ChilesJordan… imma make you a BRONZE CLOCK NECKLACE… and that’s something NO ONE else has!!! Hit me up my girl, I gotchu!!!”

Flavor Flav confirmed the creation of the necklace with a follow-up tweet:
“USA gonna Fight the Powers that be… in the meantime between time… Imma always a man of my word @ChilesJordan.”

Jordan Chiles’ mother, Gina Chiles, responded with gratitude to Flav’s thoughtful gesture, expressing on X:
“Thank you. Means the world. She’s not on socials right now as you can imagine. I’ll share it with her.”

The rapper has previously supported other Olympic athletes, including sponsoring the US Women’s Water Polo Team and offering financial aid to track and field athlete Veronica Fraley.
