Donald Trump Loses Appeal In S*xual Abuse Case, Court Upholds $5 Million Verdict
A federal appeals court has upheld a $5 million award against Donald Trump to E. Jean Carroll for defamation and s*xual abuse.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals confirmed the jury’s 2023 finding that Trump s*xually a$$aulted Carroll in a department store dressing room in 1996. Trump denied the allegations but was found liable for both the a$$ault and defamatory comments made in 2022.

The appeals court rejected Trump’s claims of errors in the trial, including allowing testimony from two women who accused him of similar actions and admitting the “Access Hollywood” tape, where Trump boasted about grabbing women’s genitals.
Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, criticized the ruling in a statement and vowed to continue the appeals process.
