DMX’s Ex-Wife Tashera Simmons Loses Estate Battle Over Copyrights But Granted Back Child Support Owed At The Time Of Rapper’s Passing
Tashera Simmons, the ex-wife of the late DMX, lost her legal fight for a portion of his estate, with a judge ruling that all intellectual property rights belong solely to the rapper’s estate. Tashera Simmons had claimed she was entitled to 50% of his copyrights, trademarks, and likeness.
However, the court found she had waived these rights in a previous settlement. On a separate matter, Tashera Simmons was granted $214,000 in unpaid child support that DMX allegedly owed at the time of his death.
