Lil Wayne Defends His 2020 Photo w/ Donald Trump: ‘I Don’t Care About No Backlash’
Lil Wayne is standing by his 2020 photo with Donald Trump.
In a new Rolling Stone interview, Wayne said the moment happened casually:
“There was some people in there [at an event] like, ‘Y’all should take a picture.’ He didn’t even ask for a picture… I said, ‘It’s the President. OK.’”
Trump, according to Wayne, added,
“Thank you. B*tches (been) bothering me all day. Can we please?”

When asked about the criticism that followed the photo, Wayne replied,
“I don’t care about no backlash for nothin’ I do, you know me, man. My mama woulda been mad if I ain’t smile.”
If you recall, back in 2020, Lil Wayne described his meeting with Donald Trump as “great,” and not long after, Trump pardoned the rapper in a federal g*n case.
