Shedeur Sanders Won’t Wear His Signature No. 2 Jersey w/ The Browns, Gets No. 12 Instead
Shedeur Sanders won’t be rocking his signature No. 2 jersey as he kicks off his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns.
According to the team’s official roster, Shedeur will wear No. 12 to start his professional career. This number switch comes after veteran wide receiver DeAndre Carter was assigned No. 2, despite never wearing it before in his nine-year NFL career.

For context, Shedeur wore No. 2 throughout his college years at Colorado. Ironically, his ex-teammate Travis Hunter wore No. 12. Both of their numbers were recently retired during Colorado’s annual Spring Game.
Still, Shedeur’s number might not be permanent, as the Browns mentioned that new players’ jersey numbers are subject to change before the season starts.
