New R&B Group 2BYG Responds After Azealia Banks Slams Their Vocals & Production On Debut Single
New R&B boyband 2BYG doesn’t seem too bothered by the harsh criticism they received from Azealia Banks.
The outspoken rapper recently reposted a video of the group’s debut single “Karma” and tore into the track for what she says is excessive use of auto-tune. In part, she wrote:
“No you can’t have all this auto-tuning/vst’s and piece-y vocal comping for this to be authentic New Jack Swing.”
She added,
“Those A.I harmonies are garbaggio — This sucks — This really sucks.”

Despite the harsh critique, 2BYG responded with humor and confidence, saying:
“An Azealia hate tweet on our very first song??? this feel like winning a social media Grammy. Thank u auntie! Love youuuu!”
They followed it up by posting a short a cappella clip of “Karma” with the caption:
“trying to beat the auto-tune allegations in the quotes ?”
So what do y’all think? Does Azealia have a point, or is she being too harsh on the group’s debut?
