Olympic Sprinter Fred Kerley Denies H*tting Ex-Girlfriend, Plans To Sue Over A$$ault Allegation That Got Him Suspended

Olympic Sprinter Fred Kerley Denies H*tting Ex-Girlfriend, Plans To Sue Over A$$ault Allegation That Got Him Suspended
Champion sprinter Fred Kerley is pushing back hard against domestic v*olence allegations, insisting he never struck his ex and now plans to sue her for defamation.
The Olympic medalist was arrested May 1 after fellow track star Alaysha Johnson accused him of h*tting her in the face at a Miami hotel — a claim he calls “completely false.”
Fred Kerley says he was only taken into custody because he declined to speak to police without legal counsel. “What’s being said about me isn’t just false — it’s damaging,” he stated.
His team says he’s fully cooperating with authorities and plans to fight the charge in court while preparing to sue over the reputational harm.
Fred Kerley, a silver and bronze medalist in the 2020 and 2024 Games, has already felt the fallout — he was suspended from Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track and removed from a Philly event last weekend.
