Devon Franklin Gives 1st Look At His & Tyler Perry’s Movie ‘Ruth & Boaz’ Starring Tyler Lepley, Serayah, Phylicia Rashad & More

Devon Franklin and Tyler Perry are teaming up with Netflix for a modern retelling of the biblical love story “Ruth &?Boaz,” arriving September?26,?2025.
Set in rural Tennessee, the film follows Serayah as a hopeful Atlanta singer who leaves the spotlight to care for a grieving mother figure—played by Phylicia Rashad—and unexpectedly finds devoted love in Tyler Lepley’s Boaz.
Directed by Alanna Brown and penned by Michael Elliot and Cory?Tynan, this project marks the first under Franklin and Perry’s multi?picture, faith?driven Netflix partnership. This first look previews a heartfelt, uplifting romance rooted in redemption and hope.
