Sha’Carri Richardson’s Boyfriend Christian Coleman Speaks Out After Her Domestic V*olence Arrest: ‘She Shouldn’t Have Been Arrested’
Christian Coleman is speaking out after his girlfriend Sha’Carri Richardson was arrested over an alleged domestic violence incident at the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, where he was reportedly the victim.
He recently told USA Today,
“For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all around. I don’t feel like she should have been arrested. I mean, people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody.”
He added,
“But I’m the type of guy who’s in the business of extending grace, and mercy, and love.”
“She’s a human being and a great person,” he continued. “To me, she’s the best female athlete in the world. I see it every day.”

Sha’Carri Richardson, who automatically qualified for this year’s world championships as the defending champ, scratched from the 100m and didn’t qualify in the 200m. She declined to comment at the event.
