Chad Ochocinco Johnson is mourning the downfall of one of his favorite stores. After reports surfaced that Claire’s had filed for bankruptcy, the former NFL star reacted on Twitter with a single heartbroken emoji: ?.
The news struck a personal chord. In a 2023 interview on “Club Shay Shay,” Ochocinco proudly revealed, “Never bought real anything when I was playing, never. What was the point? I went to Claire’s.”
Claire’s confirmed in a press release Wednesday that it has filed for Chapter 11 in the U.S., with Canada operations to follow.
“This decision is difficult, but a necessary one,” said CEO Chris Cramer.
