Sha’Carri Richardson Says She’s Taking Accountability & Getting Help After Being Arrested Over Domestic Dispute w/ Her Boyfriend Christian Coleman
Sha’Carri Richardson is speaking out following her recent arrest.
In a video posted to social media, the track star said,
“I’m taking this time to not only see myself but get myself a certain level of help that overall is going to reflect who I truly am in my heart and my spirit and not allowing this moment – but accepting this moment – to be more.”

For context, Sha’Carri was arrested and charged last week with fourth-degree domestic violence after an alleged altercation with her boyfriend, fellow sprinter Christian Coleman, at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Security footage showed her yanking his backpack, shoving him into a wall, and throwing headphones.
Sha’Carri was released shortly after.
