Stephen A. Smith Calls LeBron James’ ‘Second Decision’ Hennessy Ad Stunt ‘Corny’ & ‘Cringy’
Stephen A. Smith and #LeBronJames’ long-running feud lives to see another day.
The sports commentator criticized LeBron’s recent “Second Decision” marketing stunt, calling it “corny” and “cringy.” The teaser, which mimicked LeBron’s 2010 “The Decision” special, led fans to believe he was announcing his retirement from the #NBA. Instead, it revealed a partnership with Hennessy VSOP. Stephen slammed LeBron for the ad, stating, “I don’t understand why the second-greatest player who ever lived… would stoop to try and garner attention for himself with something other than trying to win a d*mn championship.”
He wasn’t the only one who wasn’t feeling the announcement. While some found it humorous, many fans called it anticlimactic and misleading.
Do you agree with #StephenASmith or is he just being a hater?
