Shaquille O’Neal Steps Up To Cover Funeral Expenses For 12-Year-Old Girl Who D*ed
After Bus Stop Fight
In the wake of a heartbreaking tragedy in Georgia, Shaquille O’Neal is stepping in to support a grieving family after the d*ath of 12-year-old Jada West.
West d*ed earlier this month after suffering a reported brain injury following a fight at her Villa Rica school bus stop. As her family mourns the devastating loss, O’Neal revealed he will cover the costs of her funeral.
“This story touched my heart the moment I saw it in the media,” said O’Neal. “As a father, my heart goes out to Jada’s family. No parent should ever have to bury their child, and if there is anything I can do to ease even a small part of that burden, then it is the right thing to do.”
Working alongside local law enforcement, including Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett and Douglas County Sheriff Tim Pounds, O’Neal is helping ensure the family isn’t left with financial stress.
“When a child’s life is taken so tragically, it affects all of us,” said Pounds.
Jada’s mother, Rashunda McClendon, remembered her daughter as loving and kind, while authorities continue investigating the incident.
Condolences to Jada’s family.
