[VIDEO] Solange Recalls Big Sister Beyonce & Kelly Rowland Rescuing Her From A Bully in 8th Grade

Days after the release of her compilation album on her record label Saint Heron, Solange Knowles stopped by The Angie Martinez Show to chop it up. The 27-year-old singer dished on having her sister Beyonce and hubby Jay Z hang out with her at her home in New Orleans (without NOLA natives swarming them), how she’s raising her 9-year-old son Juelz (he’s an aspiring rapper, who disciplines occasionally with a light-weight spanking LOL) and even recounts how her sister & Kelly Rowland rescued her from a bully in the 8th grade. On if she’s ever pulled the ‘Beyonce is My Sister Card’:

When I was in 7th or 8th grade, I used the card because their was this one kid who was so obnoxious. He was constantly kinda bullying, doing the most. Actually my mom came and was a chaperone on a field trip, called her the B word this kid was outta control. I wrote petitions to get this kid out of school like really couldn’t stand this kid. His name was Brandon, I remember that..So one day and ‘No,No,No’ had just came out and I did say like, “my sister’s gonna come here and you’re gonna be really be surprised who she is.” Cause I had been telling my sister and Kelly “ya’ll gotta come check this kid.” Of course, he is not paying attention to anything that I say. But they pulled up and I will never forget the face, that Brandon made. I can’t even recreate it. It was just like they were coming to beat him up. But it was Destiny’s Child coming to beat him up. So it was a really wise range of emotions and I did love it so much.
