Tasha Smith Officially Files For Divorce, Paying Husband 50k Spousal Support

Reportedly, Tasha Smith and her husband, Keith Douglas, are one step closer to officially ending their marriage. The actress has officially filed for divorce after four years of marriage. Since she reportedly makes more money than her now estranged hubby, she has been ordered to pay spousal support — upfront. According to TMZ, she’s to pay $50K, until a permanent support agreement is hammered out in divorce court.
As previously reported, the two have filed a restraining order against each other.
The Why Did I Get Married? actress previously stated in legal documents that she was fearful of her life. In fact, she claimed that her estranged husband is very jealous and has accused her of sleeping with other women. Reportedly, he’s flown into angry rages, calling her a ‘f*ck*ng d*k*’. She says,
When he’s in a rage, I feel that he is capable of killing me.
In the court documents, Tasha also says that she is fearful that she’ll end up like the wife of actor Michael Jace [ “The Shield” actor allegedly shot and killed his wife]. If necessary, Tasha says that she will have some of her celebrity friends, including Tisha Campbell Martin, confirm her claims of abuse.
Meanwhile, Keith is singing a similar song. He says Tasha flies into alcohol fueled rages and threatens to kill him, warning him to “not fall asleep or something will happen.” He has a restraining order against Tasha in the home that they share, preventing them to stay two yards away from each other. Both deny the allegations the others have made. [TMZ]
