R. Kelly Plans to File Lawsuit Against Lifetime Network If They Air “Surviving R. Kelly”
R. Kelly has announced his intentions on taking legal action against the Lifetime network if they air the docu-series “Surviving R. Kelly”, according to reports.
Thursday (Jan. 3) is the slated date for the premiere of the three part series where alleged victims and women from his inner circle are coming forward with their vivid allegations about being involved with the alleged sex cult leader/R&B singer – for the first time.

Kelly’s lawyer Brian Nix has issued a statement regarding the airing, claiming how he plans to file a federal lawsuit if the network airs the highly anticipated series. According to reports, Kelly says he has audio records detailing how producers of the series knew,
some of the girls [were] lying, but the budget was too high to turn back now.
The threat to take legal action comes after the “private” screening for the docu-series was evacuated due to a call about a gun threat. This new information also comes forward after information was released by a backup singer of Kelly’s, claiming she saw Kelly molest Aaliyah.
Aaliyah’s mother has come forward and accused the backup singer of being a liar.
