Nipsey Hussle – Private Viewing Held For Close Family & Friends
While late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s funeral service will be televised on BET, and held at the Staples Center in front of thousands of friends, family and fans, his close ones had a private viewing a day before his celebration of life.
The viewing took place at Crenshaw’s Angelus Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon. His brother, Samiel Asghedom, was one of the people in attendance to pay respects to Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom. According to reports, the moment was extremely secretive, and security was on hand with a list to make sure only those who were invited would enter the funeral home. Armed guards were also placed outside of the building, where Hussle’s 25-mile funeral procession is slated to end Thursday afternoon. Before that, will be a service attended by thousands at the Staples Center. Tickets for the event was sold out within 10 minutes.

Hussle lost his life on March 31 after being gunned down in front of his store, The Marathon, on Crenshaw Ave. and Slauson Blvd. in South Los Angeles. That intersection will soon be renamed Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom Square.
His mother, Angelique Smith, broke her silence on the shocking and tragic loss earlier this week, offering comforting words.
His longtime girlfriend and mother of his son, Lauren London, is also coping with the loss and said during an interview,
“I’m going to keep my head high and always represent for my king to the fullest. He loved his kids. He was a family man. His family came first.”
