Jussie Smollett Says ‘We Need More Love’, As He Sings Song Honoring Marvin Gaye
Jussie Smollett is celebrating the late and legendary Marvin Gaye, who would have turned 81 today on April 2nd.
Wearing a casual hoodie and bandanna, the 37-year-old former Empire actor closes his eyes in a heartfelt ode to the fallen crooner and begins to sing
“Mother, Mother, there’s too many of you crying. Brotha, Brotha Brotha, there’s far too many of you dying. You know we’ve got to find a way, to bring some loving here today.”

This isn’t Jussie Smollett’s first social media performance. Earlier this month, he broke his social media hiatus, performing a classic Stevie Wonder song.
Jussie is still involved in a legal case with Chicago. The city of Chicago took legal action against him, suing him for more than $100,000 for the cost of the investigation over claims that he was a victim of a hate crime.
Smollett says the new charges are “frustrating,” but he plans to fight for his innocence.
