Rihanna & Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey Donate $4.2 Million To Los Angeles Domestic Violence Program
Rihanna‘s Clara Lionel Foundation is continuing to give back to COVID-19 relief efforts. Late last month, the singer/beauty mogul joined forces with her RocNation boss, Jay-Z, giving a combined $2 million towards the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles for frontline healthcare workers and first responders and their children, as well as the elderly, and homeless people. She also previously announced a solo donation of $5 million.

Queen Rih isn’t stopping there. It was recently announced that she and Twitter/Square founder Jack Dorsey teamed up to commit $2.1 million each for providing shelter for domestic violence victims and their children for safety during the COVID-19 “stay-at-home” order, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Los Angeles Home Authority reported nearly 90 people per week have been turned away from shelters due to being over-capacity. But Jack Dorsey and Rihanna’s hefty donation will provide $125 a day for 90 applicants for the next ten weeks.

Rihanna & her dad Ronald Fenty
Perhaps the coronavirus hitting close to home has inspired Rihanna to give back in a major way. The singer’s father, Ronald Fenty, tested positive and was admitted to a Barbados hospital for two weeks. Rihanna sent him his own ventilator. Mr. Fenty said:
“My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day. I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn.”
Thank you for your selfless service, Rihanna!
