2 Chainz Atlanta Restaurant Will No Longer Open For Dine-In Service
Update #2 (April 25th): It looks like 2 Chainz had a change of heart. Atlanta’s Escobar Restaurant and Tapas Lounge, owned by 2 Chainz and Snoop Dillard, will not be reopening for dine-in service after all.
Snoop Dillard reportedly stated on Friday (April 24th),
“After careful consideration, we are not going to open our restaurants on Monday. It has not officially been decided when we will start having dine-in service.”
Original Story: The governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, sparked controversy when he announced the reopening of several businesses like nail salons and bowling alleys amid the spread of COVID-19. One of the three restaurants slated to open its doors again is none other than Escobar Restaurant and Tapas Lounge, co-owned by rapper Grammy-Award winning rapper 2 Chainz.
It’s set to reopen on Monday (April 27th) and begin allowing indoor seating. Before then, the restaurant was only open for takeout in an effort to flatten the curve of the coronavirus.
Given the seriousness of the virus, many fans took to Twitter to call out 2 Chainz for the business move.

Meanwhile, Atlanta celebrities like “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes has taken drastic measures to practice social distancing. She said on an Instagram video last month that her son 21-year-old son Brentt Leakes would be kicked out if he kept sneaking to hang out with his friends.
