Swizz Beatz Refers To Drake As A “P*ssy Boy” Over Leaked Busta Rhymes Track, Later Apologizes

It looks like Drake won’t be participating in a VERZUZ battle anytime soon! This weekend, a 2013 song from veteran rapper Busta Rhymes featuring Drake leaked on social media. The song, “Stay Down,” was reportedly recorded when both emcees were signed to Cash Money Records. According to Busta Rhymes, he and Drake were in contact to exchange unreleased production from late producer J. Dilla – but “Stay Down” was never released due to shaky communication.

Busta Rhymes talked to frequent collaborator, super-producer Swizz Beatz about the leak:

“Drake wanted to get some production from Dilla and he knew that I had it. We was talking about him working with Dilla with some of the stuff I had in the stash…I ain’t gon’ front. Drake is definitely one of the prominent emcees that I’m a fan of, and, interestingly, when he did the record it wasn’t even something that we planned to do together. It was something that he did and it didn’t happen when it was supposed to happen. So when I saw that it was laying dormant, I thought it was only right to try to complete the record…we never worked it out so that we could put it out…I never knew what the reason was. It just never happened, and we didn’t get a chance to discuss it-“

Seemingly knowing something fans don’t know, Swizz Beatz interrupted Busta with this harsh comment in a patois accent:

“Let’s not make p*ssy boy!”

Busta continued to attempt to fully explain the situation, but Swizz doubled down on his sentiments:

“Swizz Beatz: …the fact that you couldn’t put out something that somebody came to you- listen, it’s about Busta Rhymes tonight. I don’t

Busta Rhymes: I don’t wanna get it misconstrued. He didn’t come to me to make a record with me. He wanted to do a Dilla beat.

Swizz: Listen, man. That kid is a good kid…we made a hit record together. It’s all love. I don’t want no problems with anything. I just wanna play music, because my filter is burnt…at the end of the day, n*ggas is p*ssy forreal. Pop off! What’s up? Let’s go!”

Nessel “Chubbs” Beezer, Drake’s head of security, took heed to the invitation and expressed his thoughts in an Instagram story post.

Oop! Swizz Beatz returned with an apology:

“I want to address my actions on Zone Radio last night, ’cause I was in the wrong space. I was in the wrong energy. I hate that my kids and other people got to see me be on that side…I definitely spoke on some things that I definitely shouldn’t have spoke on. Although I might feel a certain way about a certain person and different things like that – as a G, I’m man enough to say that I did that on the wrong platform. I wasn’t supposed to do that like that. ’cause I wouldn’t respect somebody else if they did that like that.”
