Russell Westbrook Tests Positive For COVID-19
NBA superstar, Russell Westbrook has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Houston Rockets point guard took to his social media to post the announcement Monday (July 13th):
I tested positive for covid-19 prior to my teams departure to Orlando. I’m currently feeling well, quarantined, and looking forward to rejoining my teammates when I am cleared. Thank you all for the well wishes and continued support. Please take this virus seriously. Be safe. Mask up! #whynot

In May 2020, all hands were on deck as multiple professional star players joined in on a private conference call to discuss the return of the NBA season amid the coronavirus outbreak.
On the mini all-star call, the president of the players association, Chris Paul reportedly organized his fellow NBA stars including the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, and Russell Westbrook.

As players gear up for the return of the season on July 30 in Orlando, Florida, 302 players were tested for COVID-19, with 16 players testing positive. The coronavirus tests are still being conducted on all 22 teams that are expected to play when the 2019-2020 season resumes.
Ezekial Elliott, Patrick Ewing, and Kevin Durant have also tested positive for the virus during a controversial time as whether or not returning to play for the remainder of the season is a widely discussed topic.
