‘New York Undercover’ Reboot Could Air On NBC’s Streaming Service Peacock

The reboot for the 90s police drama New York Undercover could have a home in NBC’s streaming platform Peacock.

According to Deadline, Peacock is in talks of airing the highly anticipated reboot two decades after the original went off the air.

The Chi showrunner Ayanna Floyd Davis has signed on as showrunner of the reboot, teaming up with Universal Television, and Dick Wolf, the brains behind the original New York Undercover and several popular police dramas like Law & Order: SVU. Dick Wolf’s company, Wolf Entertainment, will executive produce the show with Peter Jankowski and Arthur Forney.

New York Undercover was a groundbreaking series as it was the first-ever police drama to star two people of color, Malik Yoba and Michael DeLorenzo. 

It was previously reported that Keri Hilson, Fat Joe, and MC Lyte have landed roles in the reboot.
