NBA Star Kyrie Irving Bought George Floyd’s Family A New House + Lil Wayne’s Manager Bought The Family A Mercedes Benz
Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving bought George Floyd’s family a new home!
Former NBA player Stephen Jackson revealed in a recent interview, that George Floyd’s family, specifically his daughter Gianna, 7, has been getting lots of support.
“not just from us, but from people all over the world.”
Adding,
“I’m just continuing to do what I said I was going to do. I said ‘I was going to be my brother’s keeper’ and take care of his daughter and make sure her next days are her best days.”
He then revealed that Lil Wayne‘s manager bought them a Mercedes-Benz and Kyrie Irving bought a new home.
“I had a lot of my friends – Kyrie Irving bought them a house. Lil Wayne’s manager bought them a Mercedes-Benz. Barbra Streisand gave them stock in Disney.”

This isn’t the first time Kyrie Irving has donated to causes important to him. In July of last year, Kyrie Irving used his platform and wealth to help his WNBA peers. He donated $1.5 million to help support the income of WNBA players who chose not to play in the 2020 season.
In an official statement, Kyrie Irving said:
“Whether a person decided to fight for social justice, play basketball, focus on physical or mental health, or simply connect with their families, this initiative can hopefully support their priorities and decisions.”
Reports stated that Kyrie Irving’s was in partnership with KAI Empowerment Initiative, an organization founded by the Brooklyn Nets star.

Also last year Kyrie Irving announced that he was donating $323,000 to Feeding America due to COVID-19’s impact on food resources. He also helped to distribute 250,000 meals in the New York area.
In December 2020, he paid off the tuition for 9 HBCU students.
The Brooklyn Nets star has missed the last seven games for the team after reportedly violating the NBA’s COVID-19 safety protocols. He was fined $50,000 after video footage surfaced showing him at an indoor birthday party.
