Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Murderer, Eric Holder, Has ‘A Significant Mental Health History’, His New Lawyer eClaims
Eric Holder, who allegedly killed Nipsey Hussle, has a new defense lawyer–and he’s gearing up for the upcoming legal battle.
Yesterday (Tuesday, June 29th), public defender Aaron Jansen appeared on behalf of his client, Eric Holder, in an LA courtroom. Aaron Jansen was appointed to the case after Eric Holder‘s previous attorney was appointed as a state judge. After court, Aaron Jansen told the Daily News:
“A lot of the work was done by my predecessor. Hopefully, by the end of the year, maybe early December, we can go to trial.”
Regarding his plans for Eric Holder‘s defense, the lawyer commented:
“He does have a significant mental health history. One of the things affecting him [in March 2019] was that his mother had just passed away. He was pretty despondent.”
Eric Holder is accused of shooting Nipsey Hussle outside his South L.A. clothing store–Marathon Clothing–on March 31st, 2019. He has pleaded not guilty.
Despite Nipsey Hussle‘s death occurring more than two years ago, Eric Holder‘s trial has repeatedly been postponed due to COVID-19. Additionally, the trial was further delayed after the initial judge presiding over the case retired in early 2021.
Eric Holder is due back in court for a trial-setting hearing on September 7th.
