The “queen of rap” is also the queen of sales as her most recent single dominates the charts!
Nicki Minaj’s newest hit featuring “Drip Too Hard” rapper Lil Baby is running up numbers. According to reports, the record debuted in the #2 spot on Billboard’s hot 100 and has reportedly outsold the next seven best selling records in America.
Surpassing musical greats such as Elton John and Mary J. Blige, as well as popular music artists Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa.
Debuting #1 on Billboard’s digital sales chart, which is a weekly tracking of actual records sold, Nicki Minaj’s single “Do We Have A Problem?” featuring Lil Baby reportedly sold over 48,000 copies in its first full tracking frame. Beating out competitor sells by a long shot.

The hit reportedly was the only track to accumulate a five-digit sales sum last week. The next-best selling song in the U.S. was “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Disney’s Encanto, which sold about 8,400 copies. Confirming Nicki’s reign is supreme, outselling the runner-up record by more than five and a half times over. Shoutout to the Barbz!

Other notable songs that were sales chart toppers last week, ultimately surpassed by the queen, include Elton John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart” (No. 3), Mary J. Blige’s “Family Affair” (No. 4), Gayle’s “ABCDEFU” (No. 5), and Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” (No. 8).
The New York native’s ninth No. 1 hit on the digital Song Sales chart ties her #1 record count with none other than the one and only Beyoncé, making them equally the fourth most selling #1’s among women artists.
