Gucci Mane Calls For Rappers To Stop Dissing Dead People In Their Music: ‘I Feel Like I Started A Trend, They Never Gon’ Stop’
It looks like Gucci Mane has a message for fellow rap artists in the music industry.
Gucci Mane, 42, wants to end the trend of rappers disrespecting dead people in their lyrics. On Wednesday (July 27) the “Rumors” rapper released a song titled, “Dissin The Dead,” where he speaks to an ongoing concern within hip-hop as some artists take to their music to make disparaging remarks about people who have passed away.
Sadly, we are seeing more artists make light and speak negatively about the tragic passing of their fellow rappers. We’ve seen this happen to the late Pop Smoke and King Von, just to name a few.

” I know I should be more careful with the sh*t that I said/I feel like I started a trend, they never gon’ stop/They gon’ keep dissin’ the dead.”
As previously reported, on November 17, Young Dolph was fatally shot in his hometown of Memphis Tennessee while visiting a bakery. The “Case Closed” rapper was 36 at the time of his passing. According to Young Dolph’s autopsy report, he was shot 22 times. Wednesday (July 27) would have been Dolph’s 37th birthday.
