The television CEO, who has been a part-time resident in Maui for over 15 years, reportedly spent almost $6.6 million for the 870 acres of land. According to reports, Oprah’s real estate journey in Hawaii was inspired by her former personal trainer, Bob Greene, who also owns property on Maui.

Despite Oprah seemingly being excited about her real estate purchases, controversial radio host Howard Stern spoke out against the actress for flaunting her wealth on social media. As previously reported, he said:
“It’s f*ck*ng mind-blowing when you follow her on Instagram. You see her estates, her gardens, the people who service her.”
The 69-year-old continued:
“Which is something I’m not comfortable with. I don’t think that people should show off their wealth.”
He added:
“You gotta be a little self-aware and know that there are people struggling out there, Robin. You got to. You gotta kind of think about people who don’t have — to eat. You know what I’m saying? I mean, come on. You gotta be a little bit aware of this.”
