Khloé Kardashian Is ‘Supportive’ Of Tristan Thompson Joining The L.A. Lakers But Has ‘Concerns’ Due To His Cheating Past

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson seem to be in a much better place.

Now, that Tristan Thompson has been traded to the L.A. Lakers, the NBA star will be much closer to Khloe Kardashian and their family. While Khloe is thrilled to have him in L.A., the reality TV star isn’t letting her guard completely down, according to reports.

An insider said,

“Khloé is supportive of Tristan joining the L.A. Lakers. She wants him to have a career. Having Tristan on the road again concerns Khloé. This is when all the cheating happened in the past.”

As you may already know, Khloé Kardashian, 38, shares two children with Tristan Thompson– 4-year-old daughter True, and an 8-month-old son whose name has not yet been revealed. The on-again-off-again couple seemingly called it quits for good after news broke in December 2021 that Tristan Thompson, 32, cheated on the Good American founder once again, this time resulting in a child with influencer Maralee Nichols, 31.

The basketball pro publicly apologized to Khloe for the infidelity, writing on Instagram:

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

After years of many ups and downs, the exes have seemingly grown close once again. As previously reported, earlier this year Tristan Thompson’s mother passed away. Reports have claimed that since her passing, Khloe has gone out of her way to be there for Tristan.

The insider previously said,

“Khloé and Tristan became very close again after his mom [Andrea] passed away. They celebrated Easter together with their kids and her family.”

Another source said,

“Khloe thinks Tristan is a great dad, which she’s grateful for…That sometimes makes it harder to completely shut the door on anything romantic.”

According to the second source, Tristan is,

“doing everything he can again to try and prove himself — not just to Khloé, but to the whole family. He’s also grown closer to Kris [Jenner] after losing his own mom.”
