Over 165,000 Pounds Of Ground Beef Recalled For Potential E. Coli Contamination
Not again! More than 165,000 pounds of ground beef are being recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.
Detroit-based Wolverine Packing Co. is recalling 167,277 pounds of fresh and frozen beef products, according to the USDA. The affected items are marked with a “use by” date of November 14, 2024, or an October 22, 2024, production date for frozen products.
According to reports, the recall was initiated after the Minnesota Department of Agriculture linked several illnesses to ground beef. Testing confirmed the presence of E. coli O157:H7, a harmful bacteria strain that can cause severe health issues.
If you’ve purchased ground beef recently, check your labels and avoid eating the affected products.
