Former WNBA Baller Chamique Holdsclaw, Released After Domestic Dispute With Ex-GF
Friday, we shared the alarming news that former WNBA Baller Chamique Holdsclaw (who played 12 seasons in the WNBA, including one year with the Atlanta Dream, in 2009) was in jail, after turning herself in Thursday night due to an arrest warrant was issued following a dispute with a woman that allegedly turned violent.
Long story short, the 35-year-old baller was charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and reckless conduct, in relation to a dispute with her ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old Jennifer Lacy. Jennifer claims that Chamique had followed her to a friends home, then busted the windows out of her Range Rover (with a baseball bat) and pulled out a handgun and fired it into the vehicle. One day later, a Fulton County judge set Chamique’s bond at $100,000 at a first appearance hearing Friday morning at the Fulton County jail. The judge ordered her to wear an ankle monitor as a condition of bail. She was released Friday night.

Good! Domestic Violence should not be tolerated by anyone. But dang, why couldn’t she get suspended instead of fired? If the NBA took a strong stance like this, 1/2 the teams would dissappear. #gloriagovan
i agree!!!!!!
FYI, Chamique Holdsclaw no longer plays in the WNBA, so who would suspend her?
