Martin Lawrence Confirms “Bad Boys” 3
Martin Lawrence has finally jumped on to star in the third installment of the “Bad Boys” franchise. The actor shared the news on social media Wednesday, confirming he would be participating in the film with a caption and photo of him and his co-star, Will Smith. The comedian’s attached caption read,
It’s official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife @willsmith #weback
Speculation and suspicions about whether Lawrence would be joining the cast the third time around were pretty heavy. Production was set to begin in August 2018, but Lawrence still had not confirmed or denied his participation, and in October, Smith, who plays Mike Lowrey, wished his partner a happy birthday on Instagram, asking if he wanted to give it a go
one more time.

From the looks of it, everyone got their wish. Lawrence would be returning as his original character Marcus Burnett for a slated premiere of January 17th, 2020. The third installment will be titled “Bad Boys for Life,” and will follow up to the 2003 film “Bad Boys II” and their debut film “Bad Boys” which was released in 1995 and grossed $141.4 million.
