Lauryn Hill Booed At 13 Years-Old At Apollo Theater [VIDEO]
Maybe she didn’t always have that thing. The internet never lets us forget anything, and singer Lauryn Hill isn’t exempt. Footage from a 1987 amateur night at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY has resurfaced on social media. A fresh-faced 13-year-old Lauryn is seen in the video being ferociously booed while she sings “Who’s Loving You” by The Jackson 5. But Lauryn isn’t the only entertainer who started the career with a tough night at the Apollo. According to Complex, Ne-Yo, Dave Chapelle, Luther Vandross, and Lyfe Jennings were all booed and carted off by the Sand Man before they made it big.
The most recent time Lauryn Hill was booed was in 2016 at Atlanta concert. She showed up over two hours later, and due to an 11PM curfew from the venue – the performance was cut short. A fan even dragged her for the half-performance to her face.

Unfortunately, she’s still apologizing for tardiness. In fact, she’s become notorious for it. Just last month, Lauryn issued an apology to Brussels and Paris fans for showing up late to her “Mis-Education 20th Anniversary Tour.”

It happens to the best of us, Lauryn!
