Britney Spears Spotted Outside of Wellness Facility, Fans Spark #FreeBritney Protest

Singer Britney Spears was recently spotted looking disheveled leaving the wellness facility she checked herself into in mid-January. She was said to have been given a one-day pass this Easter Sunday to spend the holiday with boyfriend, Sam Asghari. They were spotted out and about in Beverly Hills that day before she returned to the facility.

According to reports, the pop superstar checked herself into a wellness center while struggling with her watching her ailing father and, reportedly, adjusting to new mental health medication. A source claims that her normal cocktail of meds used to stabilize her mental health issues were becoming inefficient, and doctors needed to create a new combination. Being weaned off of her original dosage could have caused Britney Spears to become suicidal – hence, the wellness center stay.

After an episode of the podcast, Britney’s Gram, was released with an alleged credible source’s tip that she was placed in the facility against her will, fans created a protest campaign called #FreeBritney. However, her family and team insists that her conservatorship cannot legally force her into taking medication or into a mental health facility.

Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is one of those family members speaking up on her behalf. She insists that no one is putting Britney in danger. She posted an Instagram video responding to paparazzi with a caption hinting that she’s not against sticking up for her sister. Jamie said:

“10 years ago, who was there?? I have been here long before anyone else, and I’ll be here long after. I love my sister with everything I have. So, anyone or anything that speaks to the contrary can GTFOH with all the comments about what you don’t understand.Do not come for me or the ones I love anymore. You can move the “blank” outta here with all that, just like this other lady who was running her mouth.”

Britney Spears cancelled her Las Vegas residency show, “Dominion,” while dealing with her father, Jamie Spears‘, life-threatening health issues. However, sources claim that her father may not have been the only reason “Dominion” was scrapped. They hinted that low ticket sales compromised the show. The source offered:

“A lot of people rely on Britney, so they wanted to milk every cent from this deal. Ticket sales were very soft. The tickets were priced so high.”
